Why the phone is the hardest part of running a painting company
Every ring finds you on a ladder
Running a painting company means the phone rings at the worst possible moment, every time. Answering costs you the job in front of you; not answering costs you the next one.
Voicemail is where jobs go to die
Most callers will not leave a message. They hang up and dial the next name on the list, and you never learn what the call was worth.
Answering services read scripts
A per-minute service can take a name, but it cannot answer a real question about your painting company. Callers hear the script and keep shopping.
What a call sounds like
A real kind of call
Maple answers honestly from your site and captures the estimate request. When she does not know something, she says so and takes a message instead of guessing. That honesty is the whole design.
Maple is ready to answer your calls in three steps
Type your business name
Maple finds your Google listing, shows you a photo so you know it is really you, then reads your website page by page while you watch.
Check her answers and give her a name
Ask her your hardest questions. Add the ones she should know. Pick a voice, name her, and decide what she says after hours.
Forward your phone
Keep your number. Forward busy and no-answer calls, with Maple walking you through it on a call, then test-calling your line to prove it worked.
